A-550
type automatic welder for electroslag welding is designed for
one-pass electroslag welding of metals from 50 mm to 450 mm in
thickness. The DC welding is done with simultaneous use of one, two
or three electrodes with double-sided forced seam forming.
Under special order:
-
the automatic welder can be manufactured for voltage of 380,
415V and frequency of 50 Hz;
-
vertical stroke of the welder is set depending on the height
of article to be welded.
The welder is
designed for
the following type of welded joints:
-
longitudinal butt seams from 50mm to 450 mm in thickness.
-
ring seams in outer diameter up to 3000mm at wall thickness
from 50mm to 450mm.
Features of
A-550:
- welding
control is performed by the controller;
- stepless
regulation of welding and travel speed;
- the automatic
welder is equipped with emergency control system of welding process
(welding wire feed, cooling liquid, air pressure, short circuit,
failure in work of oscillation) with audiovisual warning.
- independent
separate control of welding rectifiers;
- the welder has
stepless regulation and digital data display of welding modes
(current, voltage, feed speed, travel speed);
- data entry
from operator’s panels mounted on the welding head and control
panel;
- the welder is
equipped with video camera tracing the process taking place in
welding pool, with display on LCD panel;
- all cables in
the welder are guarded in the boxes and laid in the wire-laying
track in flexible places;
- being on the
movable platform operator can watch and control the welding process.
He can go up with the welding head;
- being outside
the welder operator can watch and control the welding process using
the remote control;
- control
cabinet with forced ventilation and interior lightning, with audio
security control system;
- braking
mechanisms with bobbins that allows of spooling the wire up to 100
kg.

- stepless
regulation of welding wire feed speed;
- stepped
regulation of mechanism of electrode oscillation;
- pneumatic
clamp of rear slider with a possibility of manual clamp;
- 4 roller
straightening – clamping mechanisms;
- manual
vertical adjustment of the wire feed mechanisms;
- separate feed
of welding wire into the weld zone;
- manual
longitudinal and horizontal adjustment of the welding electrodes for
the welding wire feed;
- possibility
of time delay of welding electrodes in the weld zone at oscillating
process;
- installation
of 3 standard bobbins with wire (up to 30 kg each) on the braking
mechanisms on the movable platform;
- cooled copper
sliders provide the forced weld forming with strengthening as well
as good weld forming at the shift of product’s edges up to 8mm.
